A historic church in the Spanish city of
llanera was transformed into a skate-park earlier this year by La
Iglesia Skate; titled Kaos Temple, it has now undergone a second, more
colorful transformation at the hands of street-artist Okuda San Miguel.
In collaboration with Red Bull, Okuda
filled the church with bright, isometric, paintings. Verkami describes
some of the work: “His iconic artistic piece Kaos Star represents a
colorful and isometric rose of the winds that tries to tell us that it
does not matter were you are, or what you are doing, what matters are
your own goals.”
I am Mikolaj Gospodarek, a
28-year-old photographer from Poland, nowadays living in Munich. I have
been working as a photographer for almost 10 years, I am a master of
art, collaborating with newspapers and publishers across the Europe.
The Tatra Mountains are the highest in Poland. They are my favorite
to photograph in the winter time because there are not a lot of people
there. The long hours of waiting for the right light I spend on melting
snow and cooking the world’s best tea over the clouds! In 10 years, I was able to capture some interesting views, which I want to share with you. Shooting in the Tatra mountains in winter is nothing but a long wait,
Macho Picchu in Peru is considered one of
the most beautiful places in the world because of the sheer awe that
the pre-Colombian Inca site offers. This awesome site was built in the
15th century and was inhabited for over a hundred years.
These wonders of the world are simply
captivating and beautiful and cannot be replaced by the new
architectural designs and man-made attractions that we have now.
Even if you’re feeling pretty templed-out, you’ll probably be captivated by Banteay Srei,
35km northeast of Siem Reap. Built of fine-grained rose-pink sandstone,
it’s the most elaborately decorated of all Angkor’s monuments, its
walls, false doors, lintels and exotic soaring pediments all richly
embellished with floral motifs and Ramayana scenes. Comprising
just a single level, it’s positively diminutive compared with the
region’s state-temples. A little way further out from Siem Reap, at Kbal Spean, you can trek along the river to see fabulous scenes of Hindu gods and sacred linga carved into the river bed.
